Pregnancy - third month
Congratulations on the third month of pregnancy
During the third month of pregnancy, the bones of your baby begin to ossify or harden. Your baby is already moving spontaneously, but you usually can't feel these movements for awhile yet. The eyes of your baby are large and open once you've reached your third month of pregnancy. Eyelids will form later. External ears on your baby have formed during your third month of pregnancy. External genitalia begin to form on your baby, though it's still very difficult to tell whether your baby is a girl or a boy without genetic screening. Once you arrive in your third month of pregnancy Your baby moves from being an embryo to the foetal period, now called a foetus. S/he also loses their tail! The head of your baby is the biggest part of their body in the third month of pregnancy. It is about 1/2 the size of the rest of the body. While the baby head is large, the brain's structure is similar to what it will be at birth. The baby will weigh about 14 grams and is approximately 3.54 inches in total length. By the end of the third month of pregnancy you should be able to hear your baby's heart beat with a Doppler.
This concludes the third month of pregnancy
